I love all of the poster quotes that remind us to “Keep Calm”.
Here are a few of my favorite art and jewelry related themes found on Pinterest. Is there one that resonates with you?
Welcome to Club Creative Studio’s blog where there is always a focus on creativity.
It doesn’t take much effort to get creatively inspired now-a-days. One way that I gain inspiration from time to time is from the use of quotes. Take time to get inspired by quotes and gather meaning from other’s short words of wisdom. Artistic themed quotes may be just what you need to spark an idea, especially if the quote is from an artist.
Often times I will place a quote on the Club Creative Studio Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/clubcreativestudio I place them there in hopes to inspire others to be creative or take a step to think creatively.
Stop by the Facebook page and “Like” us there in support of all those who enjoy being creative or are looking for ways to appreciate the arts.
Who knows- maybe a quote, image or other information shared there will encourage you to be creative and give you the spark you need to take a first step onto a journey of discovery.
Do you have a “go-to” artistic theme quote that resonates with you? Please feel free to share it in the comment section below.
To celebrate the letter “S” today, I write a bit about style.
In May, I will address a group and speak about style and jewelry accessory length choices. Personal style is hard to argue with. Self expression is so important in making a stylish statement.
With an awareness on the basics, knowing when to express the best style becomes a much easier choice. While there are specific lengths of necklaces and looks that are popular, some just lend themselves well to particular necklines and transfer the best fashion statements. This is the focus on my speaking engagement.
Many have been quoted on the topic of style. I’d like to share what I have found to be inspirational. Heed the words that resonate. Understand what style means to others.
Do you have a favorite quote about style? Feel free to share it and let us know who it came from.
Learning is continual and constant and creative learning is an individual journey. What can we learn from the above quote from the great Michelangelo? Whether you are an emerging leader or artist. If you are a seasoned veteran at your craft, there’s always more to learn and new ways to grow within that field . At 87 years old, Michelangelo said it well: Ancora imparo (“I’m still learning).
Club Creative Studio appreciates the learning curve and supports curious minds in pursuit of creative knowledge. Like Michelangelo, the continual association with learning can be a passion and a reality to get the know=how to become better at something. Learning opens doors to growth and opportunity. What do you think that Michelangelo at age 87 meant when he said “I am still learning.” Do you think that he meant to express that he did not know it all? Did he perhaps imply that there is so much to learn about so many topics in the span of a lifetime?
Thinking about this quote today, what do you think this quote would mean to you if you were near the age of 87 versus now at the age you are now?
This quote is great for many reasons if you ask me. It gives me a sense of wonder that the love of learning is a gift at any age, as well as a part of our life at any stage. We simply can’t know or experience everything in our life-time. We are in a constant revolution of thoughts and learning episodes. We learn from our own life and from each other’s journey. We face trial and error daily and we are on a vicious cycle to catch up with the new as we hold onto and learn from the past.
Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, known commonly as Michelangelo, was an Italian Renaissance Artist: sculptor, painter, architect, poet, and engineer who exerted unparalleled influences on the development of Western art.
This quote comes to mind for me whenever I attempt a new skill and I have much to learn. Although we look at the list of talents Michelangelo shared with us, he had to have known that with each of his creative jumps, came a humbling thought that it was all a learning process.
My life and creative offerings take on a personal spin from what others have done on as well. Each creative process brings me to the realization that I can be comfortable with my level of expertise but, I can also take notice that with each topic at hand, I have opportunities to learn even more. Taking time as an example, to attend more art classes, workshops, seminars, teleseminars and hands-on lessons, I have gained a newfound love for learning once again. I can take time to slow down for instruction from others. I don’t have to learn it all by myself. In this same light as Michelangelo, I can say today that I too am still learning. Still learning new techniques, skills, people, traits, still learning about history, present day events, creative expressions, and still learning the best way to learn.
As your learning adventure marches on, what can you share about the level of excitement of continual learning? Share your comments below, we’d love to hear about your challenges, and success stories about learning something new that helped you grow creatively.
Today, Club Creative Studio shares a quote that has inspired me and is proven to be correct for correlation in the world of the arts. Creative quotes can be great reflective words and inspire on many different levels. The words of Vincent Van Gogh can transform your way of thought with a certain focus. These three simple lines can become your everyday challenges for your creative spirit. Are they words that you can relate to, or hope to incorporate into your creative world?
I Am Seeking
Are you a person who seeks out creativity or yearns to explore new adventures?
I feel that as a creative person I am always seeking. I seek to find the time to create, and stay motivated. I look to find the best materials, new materials. I seek knowledge and wisdom from others in the arts. I search for the best technique to incorporate in my creations. I seek to become a better artists on a daily basis. I am seeking answers to my many questions. Yes, I am a seeker, are you?
I Am Striving (And Thriving)
Are you a person who is striving to thrive in your environment?
Are you one who wonders how and if you are actually doing a good job in your creative life? Do you know what it takes to thrive in your own creative level or situation? If you have creative goals and are striving to obtain them, it is more likely that you will have milestone successes and can relate to the reward of thriving in your field. Does your current creative journey give you satisfaction and joy? If it is not are you taking steps to get you to the point of thrill? I feel that I am striving everyday to perfect a technique, try something new, or maintain a productive status. Thriving in both my art and business is among my most general and continual efforts. Whenever I am given the chance to express and provide art and help another side step and overcome ordinary, I know I have just experienced a slice of “mission accomplish”. I am doing what I have set out to do each and every time I create Art That Sets You Apart! Learn to evolve.
I Am In It With All My Heart
Are you dedicated to your creative tasks?
Being a creative person calls upon the inner strengths. Are you the type of person who can stay focused from start to finish of a project? Are you dedicated to the progression of your art or craft? Your productivity depends upon your work ethic and dedication. My personal mantra: Be Creative Everyday reminds me that I am “in it with all my heart”. I own the idea that I can express myself through art every day in some fashion or form. Past, present and future are all markers of time that has or will show me that I am indeed involved with creativity with all my heart.
This notion of knowing that I have my heart involved with my work helps me shape creative efforts in my workspace: Club Creative Studio. On many levels, the past has been a part of this creative growth. Love of art and hands-on creativity has proved to be a creative outlet for me. In experimentation and creative growth, the experiences of the past have taught me to use those events as background starting points of prior knowledge and skills. Your art may feel like a thing of the past but, it is what also helps propel you into your present art and your future creativity.
In present-time, knowing that I place my heart and soul into creating art gives others the opportunity to see what the creative spirit can offer and share. In future-times, maintaining the drive and personal attachments of art created proves that an artist does put their personality and a bit of themselves in all creative tasks, resulting in expressive, personal and unique creative endeavors.
