It’s that time of year again where we look to the past and look forward to the future. The year 2014 is upon us, it’s time to predict and prepare for what looks we will want to embrace in our trending accessory quest. With your good fashion sense and good taste in mind, are you ready?
Let’s consider the contrasts in our fast-paced fashion world with changing looks for each season. It’s helpful to know that the jewelry arena moves at a different pace. Trends do emerge, they’re just not always as obvious as the “out with the old” drama of fashion from the runway. You have time to savor and enjoy each trend and discover what works for your preferences.
Happily, accessory art has flourished in the last decade. Club Creative Studio has been able to also highlight unique design qualities that have become important to jewelry art owners. Custom art is in high demand. I like that aspect.
Finally people are embracing their unique individuality more. That is why I enjoy creating one-of-a-kind art.
As a hand-made jewelry designer, I aim to tell a story, create a mood or capture a moment, in the same way a painter, sculptor, photographer or any other type artist would approach their work-in-progress. Club Creative Studio Art is one-of-a-kind and reflects the style and individuality of those who are wearing and sharing Club Creative Studio Art.
The latest nuance is a move to the abstract and non-figurative styles. I am going to like this free-form free-style vibe. It gives the wearer an openness in style and a unique look for sure.
At the same time, the trends are also moving toward an ever-widening palette of color. Again, this aspect is especially pleasing to me as I love creating in various colors. Rare and unusual stones will also be featured often. I have always encouraged the use of any element of uniqueness. That aspect is a staple of Club Creative Studio art at any given time.
The most exciting part for me is that I will be using colors in a more experimental way to stay on trend in 2014. Look for my exciting clashes, subtle mixes of hues and a play of textures using beads and beaded embroidery projects.
I’ll be mixing in some hard stones such as turquoise and onyx in contrast with the more popular translucent stones and set them side by side small glass seed beads. I can hardly wait to create!
The Pantone color of the year is Radiant Orchid. I’ll be pairing that up with some fabulous combinations in clay, glass and beads.
As many may look for less formal ways to wear our jewels, I will be creating as fashion trends dictate so that the pulse of my ideal customer is consistently pleased. The strongest trend and one that I continuously focus on is perhaps the need to express individuality and self-expression. No matter how ceremonial jewelry wearing is, it all comes down to a reflection of personal style. Club Creative Studio is here to design and help. Feel free to browse our collection selection online, shop local venues that feature our art, or request a custom piece designed especially for your desires and needs.
